It is in fact The Lesedi La Rona - nicknamed The Diamond of a Lifetime. The Lesedi La Rona, formerly known as Karowe AK6, is the third-largest diamond ever found, and the second-largest of gem quality to appear for over 100 years – since the Cullinan rough was discovered in 1905. Sadly, It hit the press and became famous on June 29th this year - as The Lesedi La Rona - estimated to fetch $70m - failed to find a buyer at a special sale at Sotheby's. Clearly we made the competition too hard this week! We will do another soon...
