Cassie Best began her culinary career by training at Leiths School of Food and Wine. It was here that her evident talent won her a place on an internship scheme with BBC Good Food, Britain’s biggest and most-trusted food media brand. Cassie quickly developed her recipe writing and cookery skills and was promoted to Senior Food Editor in 2015, where she creates recipes and cooking guides for BBC Good Food’s best-selling monthly food magazine and award-winning website bbcgoodfood.com. Baking is Cassie’s main passion, but her knowledge of food and culinary techniques extends far beyond that. She has devised a wide array of recipes, from toasties to steak and blue cheese pie, and from smoothies to lamb and quinoa burgers. A regular presenter at BBC Good Food Show live events, Cassie loves to inspire people with easy meal ideas and cooking tips and techniques as well as to advise on the best equipment for culinary tasks (as shown by her reviews of the best cake-decorating gadgets). Working with Learning with Experts, Cassie brings her helpful tricks-of-the-trade to even more aspiring chefs and casual cooks.
