A Shropshire Lad
A Shropshire Lad is one of the favourite roses of Chelsea Flower Show exhibitor & MyGardenSchool Tutor Michael Marriott, from David Austin Roses. A Shropshire Lad has soft peachy pink flowers of slightly cupped rosette formation, with a deliciously fruity fragrance in the Tea Rose tradition.

This rose will form a large vigorous, healthy shrub with few thorns. Ideal for a position towards the back of the border or it may be trained as a superb climber of 10ft or more 5 x 40ft (David Austin 1996, Ausled).
We know that many American gardeners visit the Chelsea Flower Show, which attracts visitors and designers from all over the world. Exhibiting at Chelsea is a long tradition for David Austin Roses, and their newest roses are released at the The Chelsea Flower show in May each year. It will be a further 18 to 30 months before these varieties are released in the USA
