Can anyone tell me if this plant is classed as a perennial?  I take cuttings from one that I bought at Beth Chatto gardens three years ago and have splendid plants every year.  I think it is classed as a perennial but I'm not sure!  Many thanks. Deborah

Hi Deborah This plant is classified as a half-hardy perennial because it will not withstand frost and cold. It needs to be kept in a cool greenhouse or conservatory over winter. Taking cuttings is a good idea as the plant can become quite woody over time and may suddenly die off. It is an ideal plant for summer containers.
