I have an allotment and would like to move some asparagus to it

The asparagus is now it its "ferny" phase so could I move it now

No answers as yet hasn't helped I suppose. Young Asparagus is planted in April. September too can work, but it needs a bit of mulch then to get through Winter if it goes cold. Don't plant them where they sit in wet conditions during Winter they hate that more than the cold.
