Growing bamboo or a grass in a pot.

I want to replace an old bamboo in a pot with another, or a grass. Ideally it would be 4 - 5ft high and evergreen to help shield a fence. The pot is about 15" x 15" and in a shady area and I would need a "clumping" bamboo rather than a "running". Any suggestions, please?

There is no bamboo that i know of that will grow to 4-5 feet only. Black bamboo, or golden will work, but height will reach 10-20 ft
