Can someone advise on how to germinate poplar tree seeds in the UK. Thank you.

Best to propagate this genus from hardwood cuttings taken anytime form Nov-Feb, pencil thickness, ten to twelve inches long, inserted two thirds into: either outside in cultivated soil or in trays/pots. No hormone required. I find poplar and willow need to be sown very fresh and don't store well.
