Photography Salaries and Career Outlook in San Francisco

Many photography graduates choose to work as photographers after graduation. But if you choose to follow that path and remain in San Francisco, your job prospects are not so very good. In 2010, of the 12,700 photographers in California, 390 were working in the greater San Francisco area. The number of photographers in San Francisco is expected to increase by 7% by the year 2018. This projected change is slower than the projected nationwide trend for photographers.

The average salary you can expect to earn as a photographer in San Francisco is $39,260 per year, which is higher than the average for photographers state-wide.
