Gardening Courses County Fermanagh

MyGardenSchool may fit the bill for you if you’re looking for a wide range of horticultural classes, and want to be in the comfort of your own home in the County Fermanagh region.   All courses are taken by published gardening writers, and the best names in horticulture.
Another good discovery for gardening courses we like in County Fermanagh is Ireland’s only Eco Barn at Orchard Acre Farm.  Orchard Acre Farm is the brainchild of Teresa O'Hare. She started growing her own food on site as soon as she and her family moved to the farm about twenty years ago. The Eco-Barn; constructed using local and recycled materials it is fuelled by renewable energy, illuminated by daylight and rainwater is collected for laundry The Eco Barn does courses in making organic beauty products taught by Pauline Corrigan. The session begins with a meander  through Orchard Acre’s garden where students will pick petals from marigolds, harvest cucumbers or gather mint leaves (amongst other things) to use as ingredients for making potions and lotions. Owner Teresa also takes eco courses in creative craft, cookery, green living and gardening courses. Courses can cover all aspects of growing food to organic principles, small garden food production, gardening for wildlife and garden madness for families and kids. By Elspeth Briscoe clip_image002
