Pyramid beads marked with 'A'

Hello, I have a necklace that has glass pyramid shaped beads and opal looking round beads on it. The black pyramid beads have an ornate 'A' on the back of each one. Does anyone know what this might mean? The necklace was passed down to me from my gran and I'm not sure how old it is or where it was bought from. Unfortunately the stringing has broken so the beads are now loose. I'll attach a picture, any info would be great to hear! Thankyou x

Hello Laura, Thank you for submitting to the community, the photo that you have sent is nice and clear but may we 'see' the bead from another angle and maybe a shot of one of the beads surrounding it as well? It rather reminds me of old letter press stamps, but I think seeing he shape of the bead may assist n identifying it. Cheers!

Hi thanks for replying. Sorry about the poor quality of this picture but I hope it shows the shape of the beads clearly. As the string broke, i have put them in the order they were in and the clasp too. Any more info regarding this piece I'm happy to try to answer, im just intregued as to why each bead would have that 'A' on the back? Thanks x

Thank you Laura, this is perfect for myself and the rest of the community to see. Now that you've uploaded the remainder of the photographs, let me think on this for a moment. If I pull a blank, I"m sure this will spark someone's thoughts. BTW- love the clasp! Am I looking at sterling silver or white gold?

My hunch is that the necklace is Czech glass but the 'A'.....?

I have no idea about the clasp either sorry, I can't see any stamps or markings on it so does that mean it isn't either sterling or white gold? (Sorry, I make beaded jewellery as a hobby but have no clue about vintage jewellery or hallmarks) Thanks again
