I have a dwarf Japanese maple some workers have broken off a number of limbs including a top branch. I would like to relocate it to a safer place. Can I move it now or should I wait for spring? Will relocating it harm it? I Live in Windsor ontario Canada we are experiencing fall weather.

Do it now - as soon as the leaves are falling. Much better to get it into a new spot before growth starts again in spring. Avoid any further pruning to rectify shape until it is in leaf again next spring.
