Hi - we'd like to hear from organisations here too - who can help our community with social and therapeutic horticulture here.

This isn't my project, but members may be interested to hear about Thyme 2 Grow, which is seeking funding for a horticulture project for the women at Yarl's Wood IRC in Bedfordshire https://www.facebook.com/thyme2grow/?fref=ts

Thanks Jane! I'm sure some of our community will be popping over to Thyme 2 Grow. I've had a quick look - very interesting

Thrive are the UK's society for horticultural therapy and a great place to find out more! The website is www.thrive.org.uk and the sister site, www.carryongardening.org.uk, has loads of solutions for people who are gardening with disability or ill-health

Thrive is a wonderful organisation for training programs in STH. I'm based in Australia and visited Thrive in 2014 for a 2 Day professional Development Course. I'm now running programs for people in aged care and also just about to release eCourses in Horticultural Therapy. It's a fantastic field to work in, as gardening has many benefits to health and wellbeing!
