This course is suitable for students with any level of floristry knowledge and skills - from beginner to experts and those already in the floristry industry looking to learn directly from Paula.
You'll need:
For this course you will need some flowers and foliage. This could be from a florist, markets, or your own garden.
You will also need ribbons, cellophane (optional), containers and vases, sharp scissors, bindwire, a small knife, floral foam (Paula recommends an environmentally friendly alternative such as agra-wool), chicken wire, and floral tape (optional).
You'll learn:
- how to create a hand-tied bouquet
- making floral designs for interiors, events and special occasions including weddings, presentations and more
- choosing flowers and foliage for your flower arrangements
- tricks and tips from a master florist
- selecting containers for your floral designs
- protecting your arranged flowers for delivery
Time to complete this flower arranging course:
Every student is different but in general we think the whole course will take around 12 hours 20 minutes to complete including:
- Video lessons: 1 hour 20 minutes in total
- Course notes: 30 minutes per lesson
- Assignment: at least 2 hours per lesson
- Interactive classroom time: 15 minutes per lesson
- Tutor feedback review (Expert level): 15 minutes per lesson

Meet Paula Pryke
Florist to the stars
Paula published her first book in 1993 and has now published seventeen flower books, which have been translated into as many languages. Initially Paula's style was embraced in Japan and America but more recently she has been working and influencing floral design in Korea, China, India and South America establishing her globally as one of the worlds top florists.
Paula also runs her own flower delivery website in the UK. She works closely with growers to be able to offer only the very best fresh flowers.
