Learning for Life Membership Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These terms apply to Learning for Life memberships purchased from Learning with Experts.
Please read them before joining. They explain what your membership includes, how payments and renewals work, how you can cancel, and the rules for using Learning with Experts.
When you purchase a Learning for Life membership, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
Learning for Life is provided by MyOnlineSchool Ltd trading as Learning with Experts.
MyOnlineSchool Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08877754.
Our registered office is:
One St Aldates
Oxford
Oxfordshire
OX1 1DE
United Kingdom
In these terms, Learning with Experts, we, us, and our mean MyOnlineSchool Ltd.
You and your mean the person who purchases or receives the Learning for Life membership.
2. What is Learning for Life?
Learning for Life is our membership for people who want to keep learning, discovering new interests, and developing practical skills.
An active membership gives you access to the Peer learning experience for 100+ eligible online courses, across areas including health, wellbeing, gardening, creativity, and more.
Learning for Life is a membership service rather than the purchase of all of the individual courses within it.
The courses available as part of the membership may change from time to time.
3. What's included in your membership?
While your membership is active and your payments are up to date, you can:
-
access the Peer learning experience for 100+ eligible courses
-
add as many included courses to My Courses as you like
-
watch on-demand lessons and access accompanying course notes
-
learn alongside others through our collaborative online classrooms
-
take part in discussions and other Peer learning features available for the relevant course
-
access new eligible courses that we add to the membership
-
receive 20% off one eligible Expert learning experience during each 12-month membership period
The precise features of individual courses may vary and will be shown on the relevant course page.
4. What's not included?
Learning for Life does not include every product or learning experience available from Learning with Experts.
Unless we tell you otherwise, your membership does not include:
-
Expert learning experiences
-
courses or qualifications excluded from Learning for Life
-
certain accredited courses
-
course bundles
-
separately priced qualifications, examinations, or accreditation fees
-
products or services supplied by third parties
-
any other product shown as excluded from the membership
Expert learning experiences can be purchased separately.
The courses included in Learning for Life will be clearly identified on our website.
5. Peer and Expert learning experiences
Peer and Expert are different ways of experiencing a course rather than different stages of the same membership.
The Peer learning experience is included with Learning for Life for eligible courses. It gives you flexible, on-demand learning alongside a collaborative classroom community.
The Expert learning experience is purchased separately and provides additional features which may include personalised assignment feedback, direct messaging with a tutor, and certification.
The precise features are shown on the relevant course page.
6. Your Expert discount
During each 12-month Learning for Life membership period, you are entitled to 20% off one eligible Expert learning experience.
Unless an offer specifically says otherwise:
-
the discount can be used once during each 12-month membership period
-
it applies only to eligible Expert learning experiences
-
it cannot be exchanged for cash or credit
-
it cannot be transferred to another person
-
it cannot be combined with another discount or promotional offer
-
it does not apply to bundles or products already sold at a discounted price
-
it does not apply to any course or product that we identify as excluded
Your discount must be redeemed while your membership is active.
Unused discounts do not carry forward into another membership period.
7. Your account
You need a Learning with Experts account to use Learning for Life.
Your account and membership are personal to you. You must not:
-
share your account or password with another person
-
allow another person to access courses through your membership
-
sell, transfer, sublicense, or otherwise make your membership available to another person
-
use one membership for multiple people
You are responsible for keeping your account details and password secure and for keeping your contact and payment details up to date.
Please contact us promptly if you believe somebody else has accessed your account without permission.
8. Gift memberships
You may purchase a Learning for Life membership for somebody else where we offer a specific Gift Membership option.
Once redeemed, a gift membership belongs to the recipient and cannot be transferred to another account or person.
Any additional gift terms shown when the gift is purchased will also apply.
A standard membership purchased for your own account cannot later be transferred to somebody else.
9. Adding courses to your membership
You can browse the Learning for Life collection and add any eligible course to your account while your membership is active.
There is no fixed limit on the number of included courses you can add.
Adding a course does not convert it into a separately purchased course. Your ability to access that course remains part of your Learning for Life membership and is therefore dependent on your membership remaining active.
10. Learning at your own pace
Eligible Peer courses are available on demand, so you can generally start when you're ready and learn at a pace that suits you.
You do not need to complete one course before starting another.
The collaborative classroom remains available in accordance with the features and availability of the relevant course.
11. How long can I access courses?
Courses accessed through Learning for Life are available to you while:
-
your Learning for Life membership remains active
-
your payments are up to date
-
the course remains included in Learning for Life
-
you comply with these terms
When your membership ends, your access to courses obtained through the membership ends.
Courses you have purchased separately from Learning for Life are not affected simply because your membership ends. Their access terms will continue to be governed by the terms applying to those purchases.
12. Changes to the course collection
Learning is continually evolving, and so is our course collection.
We may add, update, replace, or remove individual courses or learning features from Learning for Life.
We do not guarantee that a particular course, expert, tutor, or learning feature will remain available throughout your membership.
Where reasonably practicable, we will try to avoid removing a course that you are actively studying without notice.
Any changes we make will not affect separately purchased courses you already have a right to access.
13. Membership plans
Learning for Life is currently available as a 12-month membership with two payment options.
Pay annually
You pay £249 upfront for 12 months of membership.
Pay monthly
You pay £30 per month for 12 months, making the total cost of the 12-month membership £360.
Paying monthly is a payment plan for a 12-month membership. It is not a month-to-month membership.
The prices shown when you join will apply to your purchase and will include VAT where applicable.
If the prices shown at checkout differ from those stated in these terms, the price clearly presented and accepted by you at checkout will apply.
14. Monthly payments and your 12-month commitment
If you choose to pay monthly, you are committing to a 12-month membership and to making all 12 monthly payments.
Cancelling your membership during that period prevents it from renewing for a further 12 months. It does not normally cancel the outstanding payments for your existing 12-month membership.
This does not affect any statutory right you may have to cancel or obtain a refund.
15. Automatic renewal
Unless you cancel renewal, your Learning for Life membership will automatically renew at the end of each 12-month membership period.
Your next membership period will use the payment arrangement applying to your membership unless we agree otherwise with you.
We will send you a reminder before your membership renews. We intend to send this at least 30 days before your renewal date.
You can also see and manage your membership through your Learning with Experts account.
16. Renewal prices
Your renewal will normally be charged at the Learning for Life price applicable to your membership when it renews rather than any introductory or promotional price you may previously have paid.
If we intend to change the price payable on your next renewal, we will tell you before the renewal takes place and give you the opportunity to cancel.
17. Cancelling your membership
You can cancel renewal of your membership at any time before your renewal date through the membership area of your Learning with Experts account or by contacting us.
Cancelling means:
-
your membership will not renew for another 12-month period
-
you retain access until the end of your current membership period, provided your payments are up to date
-
if you pay monthly, your remaining payments for the current 12-month membership continue to be due
-
your membership access ends when your current membership period expires
We will confirm your cancellation electronically.
Cancelling your membership does not automatically cancel or refund a separate course purchase.
18. Reactivating your membership
If you have turned off renewal but your current membership has not yet expired, we may allow you to reactivate automatic renewal through your account.
If your membership has already expired, you may need to purchase a new membership.
Where technically possible, your previous course history and progress may remain associated with your account, although you will need an active membership to access membership courses again.
19. Pausing your membership
Learning for Life memberships cannot normally be paused.
If exceptional circumstances apply, please contact us and we will consider whether we are able to help.
Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights.
20. Thirty-day money-back guarantee
We want you to be able to explore Learning for Life with confidence.
For your initial Learning for Life membership purchase, you may request a full refund within 30 days of the date your membership starts, provided you have not completed 50% or more of any course accessed through the membership.
For the purposes of this guarantee, course completion is measured using the learning activity recorded by our platform.
If you have completed 50% or more of any membership course, the additional 30-day money-back guarantee will no longer be available.
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not replace or restrict, any cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights you have under applicable law.
To request a refund, contact Learning with Experts through our Help Centre.
If a refund is made under the 30-day guarantee, your membership and access to courses through the membership will end.
21. Your statutory cancellation rights
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under UK consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances of your purchase, you may have statutory cancellation rights when purchasing a membership online.
Where you ask us to provide access to digital content or services immediately, the treatment of your statutory cancellation rights may depend on the nature of the service, when access began, and the applicable consumer legislation.
Where a statutory right applies, we will honour it irrespective of the separate 30-day money-back guarantee described above.
22. Refunds after the first 30 days
Except where required by law or expressly stated in these terms, membership payments are not refundable after the applicable refund period.
This includes where:
-
you decide not to use your membership
-
you do not complete any courses
-
you forget to cancel before the end of your existing membership period, subject to any rights available to you under applicable law
-
you choose to stop using Learning with Experts during your 12-month term
We may choose to provide a refund or credit in exceptional circumstances, but doing so does not create an obligation to do so in another case.
23. Failed monthly or renewal payments
You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method associated with your membership.
If a membership payment fails, we may suspend access to Learning for Life immediately until payment has successfully been made.
During a suspension you may temporarily lose access to courses you added through your membership.
We may retry the payment or ask you to update your payment details.
If payment remains outstanding, we may cancel the membership.
Suspension or cancellation for non-payment does not automatically remove your liability for payments already due under your current 12-month membership.
24. Promotions and discount codes
From time to time, we may offer promotional membership prices or discount codes.
Unless the relevant promotion says otherwise:
-
offers apply only during the stated promotional period
-
promotional prices apply only to the membership period specified
-
only one promotional code or offer can be used for a purchase
-
promotions cannot be exchanged for cash
-
promotions cannot be applied retrospectively
-
promotional prices do not necessarily apply to renewal
Additional terms may apply to individual promotions.
25. Using Learning with Experts fairly
Learning for Life is designed for personal learning.
You must not:
-
copy, record, reproduce, republish, distribute, or sell course materials
-
download course materials except where we provide a download feature
-

-
scrape or systematically extract content or data from our platform
-
use automated tools to access or copy our content without permission
-

-

We may use reasonable technical measures to protect our content, including controls around concurrent sessions and unusual account activity.
26. Classroom behaviour
Our classrooms are designed to create a welcoming environment where people can learn alongside others.
You must treat experts, tutors, learners, and our team respectfully.
You must not post content which is unlawful, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, deliberately misleading, infringing, malicious, or otherwise inappropriate for a learning community.
We may remove content or restrict your participation where reasonably necessary to protect the community or comply with the law.
27. Intellectual property
Our courses include valuable intellectual property belonging to Learning with Experts, our experts, tutors, partners, and licensors.
Purchasing a membership gives you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access eligible content for your own learning during your membership.
It does not transfer ownership of any course, video, notes, image, text, trade mark, software, or other intellectual property to you.
All rights not expressly granted to you remain with their respective owners.
28. Health, wellbeing, and other specialist courses
Learning for Life may include courses about health, wellbeing, nutrition, gardening, professional development, and other specialist subjects.
Our courses are educational. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they do not provide individual medical, clinical, legal, financial, or other regulated professional advice.
You should use appropriate professional advice where your circumstances require it.
Nothing in our courses is intended to replace emergency or individual medical care.
29. Availability of Learning with Experts
We aim to provide a reliable learning platform, but internet-based services cannot be guaranteed to be continuously available.
We may occasionally need to suspend access for:
-
maintenance
-
technical work
-
security reasons
-
improvements to the platform
-
matters beyond our reasonable control
We will try to minimise disruption where reasonably practicable.
We will not remove or limit any rights you have under consumer law if the membership service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or does not conform with the information we are legally required to provide.
30. Suspending or ending your membership
We may suspend or terminate your membership if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
This may include:
-
sharing your account
-
unauthorised copying or redistribution of course content
-
abusive or unlawful behaviour
-
attempts to bypass our security controls
-
fraudulent activity
-
non-payment
-
use of Learning with Experts which creates a material security, legal, or safeguarding risk
Where appropriate, we will give you an opportunity to put the issue right before terminating your membership.
We may act immediately where reasonably necessary to protect other people, our platform, our intellectual property, or comply with the law.
31. If we discontinue Learning for Life
We may change or discontinue the Learning for Life membership proposition in the future.
If we discontinue Learning for Life during a period for which you have already paid, we will give you reasonable notice where practicable.
If we end your membership before the end of a paid membership period for reasons unrelated to a breach by you, we will provide an appropriate refund for the unused part of your membership or another remedy agreed with you.
32. Our responsibility to you
We will provide Learning for Life with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so, including liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by our negligence
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
-
your statutory consumer rights
-
any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you entered into your membership.
Learning for Life is provided to you as a consumer for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from your use of a consumer membership.
33. Privacy and personal data
We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This includes information needed to:
-
create and administer your account
-
process membership payments
-
provide course access
-
record course progress
-
provide customer support
-
protect the security of our platform
-
communicate with you about your membership
Where appropriate, we may also use anonymised or aggregated information to understand and improve how Learning with Experts is used.
34. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to:
-
Learning for Life
-
our platform
-
applicable law or regulation
-
security requirements
-
our business or operating model
We will not use a change to remove rights you have already acquired or materially disadvantage you during a membership period without an appropriate reason.
If a material change affects an upcoming renewal, we will tell you before that renewal where required.
35. If something goes wrong
If you have a problem with your membership, please contact us through the Learning with Experts Help Centre.
We'll try to resolve the issue with you directly.
These terms do not affect your right to use any dispute resolution or court process available to you under applicable consumer law.
36. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If we do not immediately enforce a right under these terms, that does not mean we have waived it.
No person other than you and Learning with Experts has the right to enforce these terms, except where the law provides otherwise.
37. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
Nothing in these terms takes away any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you because of where you live.
